Six rooms.
Nothing left to choose.
What each stay cost, which room it is, whether you can get back to it at midday, and the handful of things still to confirm once you are there.
One room per base, and no gap between them.
Every one of them was confirmed on 4 August 2026. What is left is on the ground: 9 things to confirm, collect or fix a time for, each one listed with the room it belongs to.

Kyoto, Miyajima and Osaka were quoted in yen and converted at booking, so those card charges land a little either side of the figure shown.

The Ginza line is the spine of your Tokyo days: it links Asakusa, Ginza, Omotesando and Shibuya without a change. An address on or beside it turns every Tokyo day into a direct ride home.
Measured against Asakusa and Kappabashi one day, Harajuku and Shibuya the next, Tsukiji and Ginza the third. Times below are one-way planning estimates read off the rail map, not quoted journey times.
The Centurion Classic Akasaka
Akasaka, Minato
Easy midday return, about 25 minutes from Asakusa
- Check you are at the Classic Akasaka: two other Centurion hotels sit nearby under similar names
Why this room
- On the Ginza line, so Asakusa, Ginza, Omotesando and Shibuya are all one direct ride
- Comes back to the room easily on every Tokyo day
- Held on free cancellation, so a change of plan costs nothing

Hakone
Hakone does not ask for a midday return, and planning one would spoil it. The loop is a one-way circuit you ride through, and the ryokan check-in at around 15:00 is itself the rest: bath, yukata, kaiseki. Book for the room and the bath, not the commute.
Measured against the mountain loop, then Gora and Sengokuhara.
Setsugetsuka
Gora
No midday return needed
- Confirm whether dinner and breakfast are included or booked separately
- Fix the dinner plan before you arrive: Gora restaurants close early
Why this room
- Private open-air bath in the room, which is the reason to sleep in Hakone at all
- Gora sits on the loop, so you arrive as the sightseeing day ends
- Walking distance to the Open-Air Museum for the second Hakone day

Kyoto
Three of your five Kyoto days happen in the eastern hills, on foot. A central address between the river and Karasuma puts those days within walking distance of the room and keeps Arashiyama and Fushimi to a single train.
Measured against Arashiyama in the far west, Fushimi Inari in the south, and three days in the eastern hills. Times below are one-way planning estimates read off the rail map, not quoted journey times.
KIORI Hotel Takakura
Takakura, central Kyoto
Easy midday return, about 30 minutes from Arashiyama
- Confirm the Kyoto Station route the night before the Hiroshima morning
Why this room
- Central Kyoto, so the Higashiyama, Gion and Philosopher’s Path days are walkable from the room
- Short run to Kyoto Station for the early Hiroshima departure

Hiroshima
One night only, arriving by Shinkansen and leaving for Miyajima in the morning, so there is no midday to return in. Judge this stay on the walk to Peace Park and the walk to dinner instead.
Measured against Peace Park and Hondori, in a single night.
Hotel Vista Hiroshima
Central Hiroshima
No midday return needed
- Carry only the overnight bags here: the four main pieces are already forwarded to Osaka
- Check the morning ferry timing for Miyajima before you sleep
Why this room
- Measured 0.8 km to the Peace Museum and 0.6 km to Hondori, so the whole evening is on foot
- The lightest night of the trip, which is what a single stop between two ryokan should be

Miyajima
The entire reason to sleep here is to be on the island after the day boats leave and before they return. A mainland address gives that away, however good the room is.
Measured against Itsukushima and Daisho-in, on the island. Times below are one-way planning estimates read off the rail map, not quoted journey times.
Miyajima Grand Hotel Arimoto
0.6 km from the island centre
Easy midday return, about 10 minutes from Itsukushima Shrine
- Confirm dinner time, ferry pickup and dietary needs directly with the hotel
- Drop the bags here before Daisho-in: check-in is not until the afternoon
Why this room
- On the island, so you keep the evening and the early morning after the day boats leave
- The scarcest night of the trip, and it is held

Osaka
Every Osaka anchor you have is in Minami, the southern half, and the Nara day trip leaves from Osaka-Namba. Staying in Namba or Shinsaibashi makes the room a base you can drop into all day. Staying in Kita, around Umeda and Dojima, adds a subway ride to the start and end of everything.
Measured against Dotonbori and Namba, the Nara day trip out of Kintetsu-Namba, then Castle, Shinsaibashi and Abeno Harukas. Times below are one-way planning estimates read off the rail map, not quoted journey times.
KOKO HOTEL Osaka Namba Sennichimae
Namba, 0.5 km from Osaka Namba Station
Easy midday return, about 5 minutes from Dotonbori
- Collect the four forwarded pieces on arrival and check all four before Nara
Why this room
- Namba puts Dotonbori, Shinsaibashi and the Nara departure all at the door
- A triple room is real space for four nights, two people and the luggage that catches up here
City context combines private planner imagery with official JNTO destination photography for Hiroshima and Miyajima. It is never presented as property or room photography; the hotel link on each stay opens its current room photos.
