Door to door sequence
- Hotel → Gojo-zaka/Kiyomizu area by bus, subway+walk or taxi depending on final hotel.
- The day is designed as one continuous walk downhill toward Gion.
- Kyoto buses can be crowded; live signs override this app.
Taxi fallback: Taxi to Kiyomizu early saves bus friction; return taxi after dinner.
Return to hotel: Higashiyama and Gion back to KIORI is a walk: west across the Kamo river to Takakura, about 20 minutes, and it is the nicest part of the evening. A taxi is 10 minutes if legs are done.
